The clitoral hood is a fold of skin that surrounds and protects the clitoral glans. A clitoral hood reduction is performed to reduce excess folds or length of the clitoral hood for aesthetic reasons only. Some women have a redundancy of this tissue and this excess tissue can become more obvious after a labiaplasty, so in order to enhance symmetry and improve overall appearance, a clitoral hood reduction may be done in conjunction with the labiaplasty if the patient desires.

Clitoral hood reduction can be done in the office or in an outpatient surgery center depending on patient preference. This procedure is not covered by insurance companies. Our staff is happy to discuss pricing and financing options with you if you decide to have this procedure done.
